Welcome to the Joint Churches Domestic Violence Prevention Project Website
The Joint Churches Domestic Violence Project (J.C.D.V.P.P) was established in 1991, in response to the needs of victims and perpetrators of domestic Violence in the Church and community. It was in recognition of the fact that in many instances, those needs were being inadequately or inappropriately addressed by the Church.
The group seeks to address the problem by raising the awareness of Clergy and Lay people through the publication of literature and workshops.
In 2007, the group became a Commission of Q.C.T. and contact with the group can be made through that office.
Membership comprises representatives from Anglican, Assemblies of God, Baptist, Churches of Christ, Lutheran, Religious Society of Friends, Roman Catholic, Salvation Army and Uniting Churches. We welcome additional representatives from other interested Churches.
